Sustainable development thrives when communities take charge of their own growth. InterChris Foundation has demonstrated this through its grassroots approach, earning recognition as Nakuru County’s top organization in local resource mobilization and 1st Runners Up nationally under the YETU Initiative. Our success stems from a simple truth: Real change happens when communities harness their own resources. Instead of relying solely on external aid, we empowered youth through practical skills training entrepreneurship, web design, smart agriculture, plumbing, and fashion design using locally available tools and expertise.

Key partners like the Aga Khan Foundation and USAID provided crucial support, but the real drivers were the community’s commitment and collaboration. By mobilizing local talent and knowledge, we tackled unemployment, reduced idleness, and fostered self-reliance. Today, as a registered foundation, we continue to prove that lasting solutions come from within. Communities don’t need handouts they need the tools and belief to unlock their potential.
